【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverprimary(nonrechargeable)andsecondary(rechargeable)lithiumbatteriesforuseaspowersourcesinproducts.Thesebatteriescontainmetalliclithium,oralithiumalloy,oralithiumion,andmayconsistofasingleelectrochemicalcellortwoormorecellsconnectedinseries,parallel,orboth,thatconvertchemicalenergyintoelectricalenergybyanirreversibleorreversiblechemicalreaction.1.2Theserequirementscoverlithiumbatteriesintendedforuseintechnician-replaceableoruser-replaceableapplications.1.3Theserequirementsareintendedtoreducetheriskoffireorexplosionwhenlithiumbatteriesareusedinaproduct.Thefinalacceptabilityofthesebatteriesisdependentontheiruseinacompleteproductthatcomplieswiththerequirementsapplicabletosuchproduct.1.4Theserequirementsarealsointendedtoreducetheriskofinjurytopersonsduetofireorexplosionwhenuser-replaceablelithiumbatteriesareremovedfromaproductanddiscarded.1.5Theserequirementscovertechnician-replaceablelithiumbatteriesthatcontain5.0g(0.18ounce)orlessofmetalliclithium.Abatterycontainingmorethan5.0goflithiumisjudgedonthebasisofcompliancewiththerequirementsinthisstandard,insofarastheyareapplicable,andfurtherexaminationandtesttodeterminewhetherthebatteryisacceptableforitsintendeduses.1.6Theserequirementscoveruser-replaceablelithiumbatteriesthatcontain4.0g(0.13ounce)orlessofmetalliclithiumwithnotmorethan1.0g(0.04ounce)ofmetalliclithiumineachelectrochemicalcell.Abatterycontainingmorethan4.0goracellcontainingmorethan1.0glithiummayrequirefurtherexaminationandtesttodeterminewhetherthecellsorbatteriesareacceptablefortheirintendeduses.1.7Theserequirementsdonotcoverthetoxicityriskthatmayresultfromtheingestionofalithiumbatteryoritscontents,northeriskofinjurytopersonsthatmayoccurifabatteryiscutopentoprovideaccesstothemetalliclithium.
